Run cycle project and flip frame animation
Run Cycle, A series of frames that makes a loop showing a character running. Repeat the cycle and make the stick figure run! This project uses a four frame run cycle. Turn the handle on this #STEAMjunk project to make this surprisingly effective animation.

The project is based on a paper cup with a pair of rotating disks turning a vertical shaft to drive the four frame run cycle.
Continuing on the animation theme, this time an even simpler project! Print out and make this two frame animation. Flip between the two frames using a pair of chop sticks to bring the animation to life. Once you have tried the waving person why not make your own designs!?
Download the pdf from www.robives.com or below Print out the single page and cut out the two frames, curl the top frame between a pair of chop sticks, move the chop sticks side to side flip between frames.
