It was my friends birthday this week. I think home made cards are a little bit special so this is what I came up with. The butterflies are from the same photo I took the other day that I used for the cork butterfly - thank you Red Admiral!
As the card is opened the butterflies move in opposite directions making them look like they are fluttering. The background image in the card is from a suitably textured page in a magazine. The mechanism uses a couple of opposite facing triangular folds and is based on the same mechanism I used on the Comet Card. It’s interesting how versatile mechanisms can be!
The card comes in the form of a downloadable file with various parts, templates and instructions. You’ll need to add some card, coloured and white as well as a suitable backdrop cut out from an old magazine.
