The Chomping T.Rex. A mash-up of two paper projects, The poseable T.Rex and the Cam-in-a-box Essential Mechanism. Turn the handle to make the T.Rex chomp!

Chomping T.Rex

This project is ready to download, print out and make complete with fully illustrated instructions. The drive part of this project comes from the Cam-in-a-box project, one of the Essential Mechanisms from the robives.com website. Turn the handle on the side of the box and the push rod moves up and down ready to drive whatever paper character you decide to add.

In this case, the character that’s been added is the Poseable T.Rex.

Poseable T.Rex

The T Rex has been modified slightly adding a jaw hinge and fixing the limbs into position. The push rod from the cam-in-a-box is then connected up through the T,Rex body to the head making the mouth open and close as the cam is turned. Nom, nom, nom!

The end result is the Chomping T. Rex you see at the top of this newsletter.

You can of course make your own Chomping T.Rex. You will find the parts and instructions for construction at https://www.robives.com/project/chomping-t-rex/

.As always members of www.robives.com and paid subscribers to this newsletter can download the file for free at the bottom of the newsletter, thanks for your support! Non members can join in the fun for £2.50 or equivalent here.
