Turn the handle on this bead and wire crank project to make the Heron flap it’s wing and fly! The offset crank gives the wing movement an especially elegant and organic movement
.The project uses a poster tube as a base. The central parts of the wings are fixed to the base then, as the crank turns it pulls the body up and down with the outer parts of the wings moving ninety degrees later. The result? This amazingly life like movement!
The project comes as a downloadable pdf file with parts, templates and step by step instructions
.Paid subscribers to this newsletter can download the pdf at the end of the page. Thanks for your support! Other subscribers can join in the fun by following this link to the Heron page on www.robives.com
