Turn the handle on the Quick Return Bird and the bird leans back slowly then quickly returns forward as the crank handle is turned. This project is made from paper-clip wire, beads and a terminal block connector. All junk you might find lying around at home.
The project comes as a downloadable pdf and is available from www.robives.com here Paid subscribers to this newsletter can download the project for free at the end of the page. Thanks for your support!
The Quick Return Bird project is one of a series of bead and wire mechanisms that I am preparing for a workshop I will be running at the upcoming EMF Camp in Eastnor, UK May 30th - June 2nd.
EMF Camp is a fantastic maker event taking place in a couple of months, it is such an awesome few days and definitely worth seeing if you can get there. Hopefully see you there!
